Health & Medical Considerations
For your safety, please do not use the sauna or cold plunge if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, have high or low blood pressure, have a respiratory condition, or have any other medical issue that may affect your reaction to extreme temperature changes (heat and cold). Risks of Sauna and Cold Plunge
While sauna and cold plunge therapy can offer many benefits, they also come with potential risks—especially for individuals with underlying health conditions or limited experience.
-
Sudden temperature shifts may cause lightheadedness, dizziness, nausea, or loss of consciousness.
-
Cardiovascular stress can occur, particularly for those with heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, or circulatory issues.
-
Respiratory reactions (such as shortness of breath or asthma flare-ups) may be triggered by cold immersion.
-
There is a rare but reported risk of Transient Global Amnesia (TGA) — a temporary episode of memory loss — associated with abrupt cold exposure.
-
Fainting or slips may happen due to blood pressure changes or slick surfaces.
-
Prolonged use may lead to hypothermia, heat exhaustion, or burns from heated surfaces if not used responsibly.
-
In shared environments, skin or fungal infections are possible if hygiene practices are not followed.
Always listen to your body. If you feel uncomfortable, confused, dizzy, or unwell, exit the sauna or plunge immediately. Sessions should be kept within safe limits and never performed while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Children must be supervised at all times and are not recommended to use these facilities without prior medical clearance.
Use of the sauna and cold plunge is at your own risk, and we cannot be held liable for any adverse medical outcomes.
